I allow plenty of time for each dog but I also allow extra time for nervous dogs, young dogs who may not have visited a grooming salon before and for old dogs who may find it difficult to stand for long and may need extra support and rests.

It is generally better for the dog if the owner leaves the dog and returns later to collect him or her but owners may stay if we feel it would be beneficial for a nervous dog, such as a rescue dog who has been abandoned by previous owners and may suffer from being left with a stranger again.

My grooming room is a newly built room situated behind the garage at my home with a small reception area and its own entrance door.

The area is well lit, heated and clean.

Brushes, combs and clipper blades etc are disinfected to prevent any possible infection from bacteria, mites, ringworm etc.
